The record
A 1965 meeting of two future giants of Brazilian music years before their fusion and jazz-world fame, with Pascoal's flute and piano already restless and inventive alongside Airto's loose, percussive drumming. A rare early document of the samba-jazz underground, reissued by Vampi Soul for crate diggers chasing the roots of Brazilian avant-garde.
Session personnel
- Humberto Clayber — bass, harmonica
- Airto Moreira — drums
- Hermeto Pascoal — piano, flute

Pressings
The earliest on file is the 1965 Brazilian mono on Som Maior, SMLP-1507, with a stereo SMSD-5507 from the same year. An Argentine pressing on Microfon, MS 97, is the only other period copy we list. Nothing else appears until the 2024 Brazilian reissue on Rocinante, R3-028/TSPL-068, which is the realistic route to a playable copy if the Som Maior pressings do not turn up.
