The record
Recorded in the same fertile stretch as the Sapporo pianist's early work, this trio session finds him leaning into lyrical, unhurried phrasing with a rhythm section that breathes right alongside him. A quietly essential piece of Japan's homegrown piano-trio lineage, long treasured by collectors before wider reissue attention caught up.

Pressings
The earliest pressing on file here is the 1977 Japanese stereo on Trio Records, PA-7182 -- the only original-era listing we hold, and the one that carries the money. Everything since is a reissue: Trio returned to it as SOLID-1024 in 2017, and We Release Jazz cut a half-speed-mastered WRJ002 in 2018 with a 180g limited edition alongside. Colored repressings ran through 2022, and Solid pressed it again as SOLID1039 in 2026.
