The record
A rare pairing of Capitol's rising vocal star with the Adderley band at full strength, Nancy Wilson trading phrases with Cannonball's alto over the quintet's easy, blues-soaked swing. Zawinul's piano and the Adderley brothers' front line give her ballads and uptempo turns alike a soulful, unhurried lift.

Pressings
The 1962 listings run mono and stereo together. The earliest on file is a UK mono T 1657, but US stereo ST 1657 copies from Scranton and Los Angeles carry the same year, and nothing here settles which came first. US mono T 1657 shows up from 1963 as a Scranton repress. Capitol later reworked the record as SM-1657 in 1973 and SN-16210 in 1978, budget lines rather than copies to hunt.
