The record
Two generations of swing meet on easy terms, Armstrong's gravel-and-gold horn and voice settling into the cushion of Peterson's trio. Verve's small-group pairing plays like a relaxed conversation among masters, all warmth and no strain.

Pressings
The earliest copy we list is Verve's 1959 US mono, MG V-8322. The stereo, MG VS-6062, turns up in 1960 alongside a UK His Master's Voice mono, CLP 1328, and an Italian mono with a deep groove and laminated sleeve. Later European reissues are plentiful and easy: Germany pressed MG VS-6062 on 180 gram in 2001, and Jazz Images issued a gatefold, 37007, in 2016.
