The record
A late-'60s trio date from Japan's Columbia stable, cut over two summer sessions with Ikeda and Yamazaki locked in behind Sugano's crisp, hard-bop-schooled touch. Tight, swinging piano-trio fare in the Peterson-Garner lineage, a solid document of Tokyo's homegrown jazz scene of the era.
Session personnel
- Yoshio Ikeda — bass
- Hiroshi Yamazaki — drums
- Kunihiko Sugano — piano
