The record
A ten-inch compilation, which is what accounts for a credit list carrying two drummers, two pianists and two trumpets -- Kenny Clarke and Max Roach, Kenny Drew and Milt Jackson at the keyboard, McGhee alongside Fats Navarro. Ernie Henry's alto, Brew Moore's saxophone and J.J. Johnson's trombone thicken the horns further. Blue Note BLP 5012, eight sides, 'Boperation' and 'The Skunk' among them.
