The record
A blowing session in the proper sense: Ammons' tenor set against Jackie McLean's alto and Idrees Sulieman's trumpet, with Mal Waldron at the piano, Kenny Burrell on guitar, Paul Chambers and Art Taylor in the rhythm. Four tracks on a 1957 Prestige mono LP, among them 'Four' and 'Cattin'.' Reid Miles designed the jacket, Ira Gitler wrote the notes.
