The record
Cicero's trio treatment of Tchaikovsky themes fits squarely into the classical-crossover strain MPS cultivated in the mid-60s, all crisp technique and brisk swing feel. Witte and Antolini keep the rhythm light and propulsive, letting the Romanian pianist's conservatory chops meet the trio format head-on.
