A mid-'50s trio date on the short-lived Dawn label, part of the Jazzville series capturing small-group swing before hard bop fully took hold. Personnel undocumented, but the setting -- drummer-led, piano-bass-drums economy -- points to unfussy, groove-first club jazz of its moment.
